Why is tech exciting?

What excites me about web development/tech is the many things you can do

with tech and web development. There are so many jobs in this field and I want to find out what jobs there are in this field. I have always been into the tech field but have always been afraid to start something new. I never saw anyone who looked like me intech in this field. I want to see more Black women in teaching, especially my age. I want to be able to get other women who work in this field. Another reason this field interests me is because of the financial freedom. There are always jobs in the tech industry and conferences that I would like to be a part of. I want to embark on a new career journey and the tech field is very rewarding. I want to transform my life for the better and I believe that getting into a new career field will help. Most of the world revolves around technology. Many people that I have met who work in tech work from home and can afford their lives. I’m tired of working regular jobs living paycheck to paycheck.

Furthermore, I realized during Covid 19 that I want to have a career, not a job. Covid taught me that you should always be prepared for the worst. I want to strive to become a better version of myself and invest in myself. I know that working in tech is a challenge and I’m ready to be challenged and have a career. If you look at the way the world is going the world is all technology. We have self-driving cars and robots delivering food to people’s homes. I want a career where I will always have a job and be able to support myself. My goal after this course is to find a good-paying job in the tech field that I love. I want a job that appreciates me and wants to pay me what I’m worth. I would also like to continue learning about the tech industry by attending conferences in different cities and meeting other women in the same field. One barrier I feel I may face that I’m nervous about is not having enough experience to hold down certain jobs in this field. Also, I feel that with this course I have the right tools to succeed.
